  The 'tear­drop' shape is a departure from the rest of the Brácsa line in that the blade is fitted into the shaft.
This simple innovation allowed us streamline the upper edge of the blade.
The blade's contact surface was made wider facilitating a more effective stroke, although the effective surface area of the blade was actually reduced.
