This new line of BRAČA-SPORT products (’Spanish family’) was developed specifically for the traditional summer regatta of northern Spain.

There are three distinctly different oars, each based on the specific requirement of the three different vessels:

The BATEL — four rowers and one timonel (’timonel’ - controls the tiller)

The TRAINERILLA — six rowers and one timonel.

The TRAINERA — thirteen rowers and one timonel.

The ‘Spanish family’ of BRAČA-SPORT oars represents the perfect marriage of the traditional design with the latest achievements of the composite materials technology.

The high quality carbon construction guaranties the needed stiffness, yet comes at an incredible light weight. BRAČA-SPORT offers custom options of the blade geometry and oar length corresponding to the technical specification of the athlete.

The range of options is detailed in the table beside. Custom requests from customers are kept confidential and will not be released to third parties.

The first regattas of TRAINERAs were held at the end of XVIIIth century on the Cantabrian coast, where fishermen upon returning from sea with a boatload of fish, competed in a mad dash to shore to obtain the best prices for their catch in the open market.
To date, this tradition remains one of the most popular and competitive rowing event in Spain.
